Stories

I never wish to be a storyteller. I would prefer not to become a storyteller.

I feel that storytelling suits those who take things easy, which is why I never imagined myself as a storyteller.

I have never seen myself as a storyteller, because my story is still being written. There are chapters of my life that even I am still trying to understand, moments that changed me in ways I cannot fully explain, and experiences that taught me lessons I never imagined I would have to learn. Life has taken me through unexpected turns, introduced me to pain I never thought I could endure, and shown me that sometimes, the strongest people are the ones fighting battles they never speak about. There have been days when smiling was harder than crying, when staying strong felt like carrying the weight of the world on my shoulders, and when all I wanted was a little peace of mind. There were moments when I questioned myself, wondered if things would ever get better, and struggled to find the courage to take another step forward. But somehow, through it all, I kept going. Even when I had no clear answers, I kept believing that my circumstances did not have the final say over my life. I have survived battles that nobody knows about. I have carried burdens I rarely talk about and faced situations that forced me to grow before I was ready. Some lessons came through disappointment, others through heartbreak, and a few through people I never expected to hurt me. But every experience has taught me something valuable about life, people, patience, and myself. I have learned that not everyone who smiles is happy, not everyone who speaks is honest, and not everyone who walks beside you is meant to remain in your life forever. Sometimes, people leave, plans fail, and things happen differently from how we imagined. Yet, even in those moments, life continues to teach us that we can lose certain things without losing ourselves. One of the greatest lessons I have learned is that I do not owe everyone an explanation for my journey. I do not have to tell the world every detail of what I have experienced to prove that I have struggled. I do not have to reveal every scar to show that I have healed, nor do I need to announce every battle I have won. Sometimes, silence is not weakness. Sometimes, silence means I am protecting my peace, learning to understand myself, and gathering the strength to continue moving forward. I am learning to appreciate my growth, even when it happens slowly. I am learning that healing is not always a straight road, that progress does not always look impressive, and that taking a step back does not necessarily mean I am moving backward. Some days, progress means getting out of bed with a hopeful heart. Other days, it means choosing peace over arguments, forgiveness over bitterness, or faith over fear. I am no longer interested in proving myself to everyone. I have come to understand that people will interpret your life according to their own understanding, and not everyone will see the sacrifices behind your success or the struggles behind your smile. Some will judge what they do not understand, while others will celebrate you without knowing what it took for you to reach that point. I have learned to let people think what they want while I focus on becoming the person I know I can be. I am not where I want to be yet, but I am grateful that I am no longer where I used to be. I may still have unanswered questions, unfinished plans, and dreams waiting for their moment to become reality, but I refuse to overlook how far I have come. Every mistake has taught me something. Every disappointment has revealed something. Every difficult season has reminded me that I am capable of surviving more than I once believed. I still have dreams to chase, places to go, people to meet, lessons to learn, and beautiful moments waiting to unfold. I still have reasons to hope, opportunities to embrace, and a future that deserves my effort. I will not allow yesterday's pain to steal tomorrow's possibilities. My past may be part of my story, but it does not have to determine how the rest of my life will be written. I am not a storyteller; I am a work in progress. My story is not over, my dreams are still alive, and I still have so much life to live. So, if you think you know my story, remember that you have only read a few pages. You may know where I have been, but you do not know everything I have overcome. You may see where I stand today, but you cannot predict where life will take me tomorrow. There are chapters I have not written, victories I have not celebrated, and dreams I have not yet achieved. I am still growing, still learning, still healing, and still becoming. My story is far from finished. I still have a lot to live for, a lot to learn, and a lot more to become. Until my final chapter is written, I will keep turning the pages with courage, gratitude, faith, and hope.
