Hello from Bangladesh! ๐ง๐ฉ I'm from Maulvibazar, Sylhet - the land of green tea gardens, hills, and waterfalls. Right now we are celebrating Durga Puja, our most colorful festival! The whole city is shining with lights, beautiful Goddess Durga statues, music of Dhak, and people wearing new red & white saree and panjabi. I love how in Bangladesh all religions - Muslim, Hindu, Christian - celebrate together like one family. Our motto is "Religion is personal, festival is for everyone". About me: I am a friendly, respectful, and curious person. I love nature, traveling, music, movies, and learning about different cultures. I love to write long, sweet letters and have deep, real conversations. My city is very peaceful. I can show you Sreemangal tea gardens, Madhabkunda waterfall, and Lawachara forest. Let's be good penpals! My English is not perfect, so let's learn together.*
I am looking for friendly conversations with people worldwide, making genuine long-term friendships, practicing my English, exchanging cultures, sharing about our daily life, festivals, food, music and dreams. Love to exchange long sweet letters! I also love to learn about your country's festivals and traditions.
A tradition from my country that surprises foreignersโฆ
During Durga Puja, our biggest festival, the whole country celebrates together. Muslims, Hindus, all visit Puja mandaps together, eat sweets, wear new clothes. We have lights, art, and Dhak drums everywhere. We say "Religion is personal, festival is for everyone." This harmony is the true beauty of Bangladesh.
The dish from my country you have to try isโฆ
You must try 7-layer tea from Sreemangal! 7 colors and tastes in one glass. Also try Shatkora beef, a special citrus from Sylhet. And during Puja we make Laddoo, Sandesh, Rasgulla. If you become my pen pal, I will share my mom's recipe!
Three small things that make me happyโฆ
1. A long sweet letter from a pen pal. 2. Morning walk in the green tea garden with fog and fresh tea. 3. At night during Puja, my city full of lights, people smiling, new dresses, and celebration sounds. That togetherness makes me happy.
